Nigerian Dwarf Goats purchased from Donkey Dairy Genetics in 2023 for sale.

 

1) Buck two years old – easy to handle, not aggressive – can be made to stand down easily with a spray bottle when he gets a little boisterous sometimes when one of the does are in heat.

 

2) Doe two years old – possibly pregnant, (accidentally) tame and friendly when being handled but a little more independent. Gave approximately 500ml of milk per day with one milking a day. Not too happy on the milk stand and needs her legs tied but we have milked her a few times.

 

3) Doe one year old with twin bucklings, now three days old (first freshening)

Bucklings are dam-raised although they are being handled by people regularly to ensure good nature and to make them used to people around. Doe is a sweetheart and loves being scratched behind the ears. She is perfect on the milkstand. No issues with kicking and does not even need to have her legs tied. Still very early to tell but she has a good udder and
produced more than 500ml per day being milked out twice from day two. We
simply feed the milk to the babies.

 

4) Doe one year old (new genetics brought into the herd in 2024). Very friendly and people orientated. Loves to be around people and enjoys scratches and treats. Also comes when called and has a lovely gentle nature. She has had her first heat but has not been with the buck yet. She was a lot smaller than the other does right from the start so the dwarf genetics are strong.

 

5) Two month old buckling. Dam-raised, healthy and strong, tame enough to handle with ease although he is starting to run away from people now as his hormones are kicking in (possibly with the new babies around and the doe that just gave birth)
