A position has become available for a Senior Sample Set Machinist at our industrial bag manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
Assemble a bag from start to finish using information from a pattern or Sample Bag (green seal) sent from Design Centre
Operate all machines used to make a sample bag
Find ways to make assembling of the bag/product production friendly
Requirements:
Able to operate a variety of sewing machines
Must be able to read and write
Must be able to interpret a pattern, sketch and information
Must be able to sew all types of bags and materials
Must have a good understanding of a sewn products construction
Must be able to solve problems by involving the relevant people
Must have a great eye for detail and quality
Must be punctual, driven and have good communication skills
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Good communication skills
To be a team player and be able to lead a small team of 3 people
A strong ability to learn
