1953 Buick Super Model 56C Convertible Out of 44 Year Ownership
This 1953 Buick Super Model 56C Convertible is the ideal candidate for straightforward restoration and is just out of 44 year ownership. The car was originally Osage Cream and was restored in 1970. At this time it was also painted Eldorado red, and as you would expect, the multilayer lacquer repaint from 1970 is blistering and needs to be redone. The car runs and drives and is all there. It retains its original V-8 motor that’s strong, smooth, and quiet. It features such power options as power seat, windows and top; all hydraulic. The previous owner bought the car in 1978 and has always stored it indoors in his garage/barn. Recent work includes, complete carb rebuild, gas tank replacement including new fuel line and sender, complete brake job with lines, and a complete ignition tuneup with new wires, plugs and distributor cap. Just out of loving long-term enthusiast ownership. The sale also includes plenty of literature. This classic Buick is not to be missed!
